Sad to hear about the passing of Ukrainian Canadian artist, Nick Nykilchuk, from Sudbury. His art represented the beauty of Ukrainian culture and traditions. Several pieces of his work are held in Canada’s Museum of History.

In Sept 2024, we celebrated a beautiful day in support of Ukrainian Fest Lanark County, in Carleton Place 🇨🇦 … tremendous crowds to eat, enjoy music, fashion, vendors, children’s activities and more. Their festival team created a successful event to showcase beautiful Ukrainian culture. #OCUF2024

In August 2023, we held our festival at Lansdowne Park for the second year. The festival hosted a Yarmarok and added an art show representing the impacts of russia’s war in Ukraine. We also supported our musical artists including a concert at the Ukrainian hall with Zirka. #OCUF2023

In Jan 2023, we introduced our first Festival of Carols… experience Ukrainian Christmas and New Year through song with local artists and to support newcomers from Ukraine. 🎶

In August 2022, we returned to in-person at a new location. In partnership with Ottawa Farmers Market, we shared a spot at Lansdowne Park. Our focus was on local vendors and local performers with several newcomers from Ukraine taking part. We were so glad to be back. #OCUF2022

In July 2022, we discovered new ways to celebrate Ukrainian culture in-person. We partnered with the Chamberfest for 3 concert events. First light (featuring a new work by Bohdana Frolyak - composer from Lviv, Ukraine); Moskitto Bar; and BLISK. Part of #OCUF2022
