Awaken Realms just launched an AI tool you’re supposed to be able to ask questions of mid game. I love Nemesis but it is full of edge cases and I think the rule books are poor.
Tried the tool, and the second question I asked it is wrong in a very standard LLM way of being wrong.

Legitimately gave myself a headache figuring out how to paint tie-dye on tiny little blood bowl gnomes. But I love them. Project set aside temporarily but they all have unique colors/patterns! #warhammercommunity #bloodbowl #miniaturepainting

This would not normally be my style of RPG. Narrative is DM driven and there are a ton of random tables/rules medium. But the way it leans into low-power but high-chaos, the humor and fun built into those tables? My mind raced with character scenarios and adventure moments

Recently read the rules to Dungeon Crawl Classics, recommended by a friend. Highly deadly, leans into random tables and lack of control, like D&D delivered in a panel van with an airbrushed wizard scene in the side.

Finished up the owl! I’ve had the miniature for over a decade and finally got to painting it. In all my years I’ve never taken a model and deliberately attempted to push myself on a single skill/technique (value contrast, this time) and I’m so glad I did

This has been very meditative. I’ve never put as much time into a mini before, never painted without shade/washes. Still many hours ahead

More pics from the Star Wars last night. Kinda hard to appreciate without playing but even having played a bunch I’m in awe of how much models move around and how dynamic it is, despite on paper it seems like few activations. All but 2 units only had 1 activation and we were EVERYWHERE on the table

Found myself at a night club after the blink 182 concert (??) and a guy bought me a beer because he liked my Kirkland Signature tee (????) then he showed me his Costco card so I pulled mine out and we had a big high five (!!!!!) and they say the suburbs have no culture
