Aronia berry jam day! 3 pounds of berries - 2.5 quarts of jam, all from one plant in my backyard. the deities of urban gardening (and a very determined bumblebee who pollinated every flower) smiled upon me.

I feel like tomato season is finally here! First harvest of black cherries and Queen of nights. They’ve got some bowl ripening to do but already big on flavor. All thanks to my community garden plot!

First haul of Frutilla Blanca - Chilean strawberries - from the community garden plot. They’re white strawberries and a progenitor of sorts to the modern strawberry. They came out a bit small but still big on flavor! They wintered over great from last year, true to their roots as a mountain berry.
