1) If guns were allowed, a shooter would have time to walk in and blend in with everyone until starting to shoot. Whereas if guns weren't allowed, people can flee or take cover immediately upon the sight of a gun.

A determined or unstable shooter might disregard every law, but prohibiting firearms in private venues cuts down accidental shootings and gives people more time to respond if someone does enter illegally with a gun. Plus, shouldn't private property owners have the right to set firearm policies?
