Absolutely everything in UNBEATABLE was created by human beings without ANY generative assistance. every frame drawn, every word written, EVERY MODEL SCULPTED, EVERY LINE OF CODE TYPED, every song sung with a real voice, every guitar played with a real hand, every moment flawed and MESSY because we are, also.

UNBEATABLE PATCH INFO big honkin notes post
The first post-launch patch should arrive on PC tomorrow and will address the following: BUGS EPISODE ONE

 Sometimes during the intro of the game you will be unable to get into the main corridor to get on stage. Once this patch drops you will no longer be permanently holding up the concert of a lifetime

 EPISODE TWO

 After Beat's interrogation, the game sometimes locked up.

 Occasionally Beat was unable to move forward after work on day 2. A lot of you felt very similarly. That part is intentional, but Beat not moving forward was not. 

 An interactable icon would pop up saying "Talk Icon (Clone)" which was not, in fact, meant to be there. Talking to it pushed you into the cafeteria.

 EPISODE THREE

 WHACKTOWN could lock up if you tried doing it at night on Day 2.

 When Beat caused a breaker trip during the setpiece, it could lock up the game. 

 Occasionally when walking around with Treble, Quaver was supposed to be there when she wasn’t, causing a softlock.

 After waking up in the train station, if you decided to walk all the way back to the shack instead of talk to Clef, a stray dialogue node would appear that would lock the game up. EPISODE FOUR

 After finishing YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH you would sometimes get punted back to the laundromat. And, like, the song is all about doing the same thing over and over, but not like that

 When trying to find Treble, the player would be forced into a looking animation they couldn’t get out of. 

 -You could get into a courtyard you’re not supposed to be in in the school area, causing a softlock as you can't get out of the courtyard at all.

ARCADE

 Keybinds aren’t saving properly. It's confusing if you come back only for up to be down.


 Again, a patch fixing all of these issues should be out on PC tomorrow! On top of that, we are working on the followup patch to that already and we'll update you all when that's out on PC. Among other things, we're looking at the following feedback for that next patch after tomorrow: BUGS -A small chance for Beat to get so into staring at a lightbulb during her interrogation that it crashes the game -Many odd reports of issues with Episode 4 featuring invisible characters or looping or other oddities revolving around odd logic problems Small issues with VO triggers making a character not say a thing out loud that they clearly meant to, or vice versa. We will continue to help ensure characters are actually saying what they mean to say -Offset is perfect on some machines, and it is apparently very not perfect on other machines QUALITY OF LIFE We are looking into a better way to communicate the control schemes, since people are repeatedly confused by the inconsistent wording. I'm sorry about that, it's my fault Moving word bubbles' timing and position to make them cleaner for a few scenes is a manual process and we're going to continually fix this. POTENTIAL THINGS FOR FUTURE PATCHES A challenge you're supposed to unlock immediately is not unlocking immediately. You can, right now, usually get it by just going between playing arcade mode and story mode (it usually pops up eventually). But we're figuring this out. -We are looking into stuff around fail states and fail forwards. Some people want to be allowed to simply die over and over again, and perhaps we should let them. But there's some things to think about with this. -Again, the word bubble thing, until it's 100% done and nothing's weird with it. -People really want a chapter select -People really want to replay small bits of story mode -Prisonball is working as intended and will not be fixed.
