Be excellent to eachother, but do not tolerate the intolerant.
I'm biased cause I had my first date with my partner there, but if you like comforting chocolatey drinks and snacks and such, I very much recommend Quetzal, the Chocolate Bar. (at Lijnwaadmarkt 11, very close to the city centre) They open at 11, very good for the soul

What remains of Edith Finch

Very interesting! Kept my attention surprisingly well for a game with minimal interaction. Gorgeous, interesting storytelling, not too long. I liked it!

Metroid Prime: Remastered

Surprisingly mixed feelings about this one. The remaster is gorgeous, absolutely breath-taking, controls great.
Feels like DS1 in the sense that you spend a lot of time walking back and forth and back and forth, and the back half of the game has issues.

Mario Kart World

Okay, hard to quantify "finishing" a multiplayer racing game, but I did all the cups, knockout tours, and unlocked mirror mode.
This might be my favourite Mario Kart yet. Thoroughly enjoy the movement options, the world is GORGEOUS, the music is amazing.

Metroid: Zero Mission

Long overdue for a replay, and finishing Fusion recently got me in a metroid mood.
Unsurprisingly, loved this one as much as I did back in the day. Controls like a dream. Maybe controversially, I kind of missed the narrative elements of Fusion somewhat.

Dark Souls 3 (Seamless Co-Op Mod)

Played through this again with a buddy. A lot breezier with a friend, but laughs were had.

Metroid Fusion

God, what a game. Way more linear than super or zero mission, but a VERY enjoyable ride. Atmosphere is unmatched.

Paper Mario

My first time fully playing this classic! Was surprised and amazed by the depth of this adventure, in terms of gameplay and amount of content. Took me 30 hours easily. After the brief jaunt called Super Mario Rpg, this was a meaty adventure.

Mass Effect 2: Legendary Edition

Can confidently call this one of my fav games of all time now that I've revisited it after almost a decade. Loved this replay to bits. Already almost itching for another one. Let's finish the trilogy first, shall we...

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

What a delightful surprise of a game. Gorgeous, nails the Indiana Jones adventure story vibe, and interesting gameplay start to finish.

Mass Effect 1: Legendary Edition

What a game, what an atmosphere. Shorter than I'd remembered, not counting the cookie-cutter side missions, but it nails the sci fi vibe.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Ahhh, it's been a long time since I went through the original trilogy. Damn good. Crazy to think this game is over twenty years old.

Killing Time: Resurrected

Oooh, this was an interesting one. Flawed, horrid backtracking, very easy on the standard difficulty, unclear progression.
But god it nails the pulpy goofy atmosphere, and the fmv scenes in the levels really add something. Crazy music. Loved it.

Wario Land 2

DAMN this is still such a good game. They nailed what makes a Wario game tick in this one. I even 100%ed it, which I hardly ever do for any game. What a classic.

Bravely Default 2

Great game, but I do feel it's the weakest of the three bravely games so far. Mostly retreads old ground, but the combat is still a joy. Music is peak.

The Langoliers
by
Stephen King

Enjoyed this one! Not his most thrilling or unique story, and the mystery is, as is often the case, better than the reveal, but still a worthwhile read.

Liked this one even more than the first two, a ton of fun, hype, and Carrey going absolutely nuts.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2

I really liked this one! I like the first too, but there's less stuff dragging it down in this one. It's leaning more into the sonic stuff, and thriving.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (Dominus Collection)

Delightful Castlevania experience, fun to re-experience it. The magic seal system is somehow even worse on controller vs on touch screen. Shoulda really just had an autocomplete option.

BUT GOOD GAME.
