Understandable, I tried playing a game like that called “Dear Esther” (haven’t finished it) and I’m sure it has a great story but there is like zero gameplay besides walking around an abandoned island. Not much gameplay there so yeah I hear you

Fair enough, I had to ask since people throw the term around a lot nowadays. I do enjoy me a narrative focused walking sim though if it has a great premise and takes advantage of the medium. They shine when they tell stories that can’t be told through anything else.

Where does the line drawn that separates walking sims vs games that have a narrative focus for you? Like would you consider ENA: Dream BBQ a walking sim? It’s got puzzle solving, side quests, and like exploration

Community notes were like one of my favorite features on that hellsite and one of its saving graces, it was onli a matter of time until it was ruined by Elon.
