so many of the songs cut right back to me as a creative individual and struggles i’ve been going through recently. this was such a needed listen.

that’s actually really interesting!! i am deaf (born this way) but also go to way too many concerts, so inner ear damage or dysfunction is 100000% possible for me 🙃 thank you for the info !!

welllll 1 person on the internet is SO excited for you because you can learn so many songs now!!! next semester was all baritone uke and looks so fun to play, and you can’t really get that sound without it!

i hope you can brush off their shit and enjoy it- you deserve to enjoy your aspirations

but also if you think about it a little too hard, this feeling is so unique and doesn’t happen often- so i try to feel every little bit of it just to understand my body and brain a little better? like what is actually making my head spin and can i control that?

idk

spinny thoughts lol

yes!!! or after sitting in an office chair for wayyyyy too long. i usually turn on a million little lamps in my room for ambiance + grounding, but im honestly too tired to get up and feel so i am going to embrace the dark spinny feeling for today 🥲

even for you too; i’m so happy and proud that you even thought to share her books to this question. the biggest key is awareness, knowledge, and sharing it with others

if lin-manuel miranda has read it then you have to too, right?
November 15, 2024 at 12:42 AM
okay,,, this is a sillier one but it is genuinely one of my favorite books that i own. apparently lin-manuel miranda said “… knocks you to the floor, breathless, then scoops you up and gives you a kiss where it hurts before it occurs to you to cry. Read this book only if you wanna feel more alive.”

i visit my local green burial cemetery just to hike, think, and decorate gravesites. i don’t have the time to volunteer for them right now, but it’s truly a profound experience every time i go. i even ended up doing a whole art project on green burial/mortality. i can ramble about this for ages:::

YES!!!! i recently took a class focused on sustainable burial/death and these were both required readings. i think it’s also important to get involved in your local organizations with “unconventional” burial- a lot of them run on volunteer work and appreciate all of the help they can get
