I specified “non-action” because as a teen I was absolutely watching Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040, GitS, Gunsmith Cats, and New Dominion Tank Police. Specifically because I had a strong desire to see women protagonists, but teen me registered it as “like shonen but with girls”.

I think this is the fastest I’ve ever progressed in unlocking things in a game. The only thing close would be unlocking all the SSBB characters in just under an hour but I totally cheated and just spammed 1-stock match with Fox and sprinted off the map over and over again. 😋
