What I'm trying to say is that it's a SYSTEM. It's not that the Dems don't have a plan. It's that their plans DO NOT WORK in the current system. And none o the strategies being proposed will work in that system, either. They don't have full control over it.

This platform is also "the media."

If you approach it as a numbers and eyeballs game (which is disgusting, but true), then it's not about the content or the quality of the message; it's about how it gets out into the universe and how "sticky" it is. That SUCKS, but it's true.

The whole system needs to work to keep people in check. If the media doesn't expect the same behavior from GOP politicians, there will be bias in the coverage. If the voters don't pay attention to anything but the loudest, they'll only hear one side. And it's too "risky" for the politicians to stop.

Because it's not just the Dems. They have to contend with the expectations of the media, too. And since most of the media is more interested in attention than in truth, they'll run it back again and create a "scandal" for the non-GOP politician.

The supervolcano in Yellowstone should be higher, too.
