Ya know who did choose to mislead the masses for power and profit and should therefore be held responsible for derangement of those 77m or so?

The aristocracy: Trump, Musk, democratic leadership, & legacy media owners.

People unwittingly find themselves in pipelines that newer, algorithmic platforms determine via locational data, which are overwhelmingly right-leaning.

TLDR: without trained critical thinking, people's political stances are strongly influenced by their environment, something they didn't choose.

I don't think the people are directly to blame — indirectly sure.

The lion's share of the blame goes to the systems that allow media (legacy and otherwise) to pour disinformation down the throats of the masses who lack critical media awareness.

Yeaaah, their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Unfortunately, they get away with it since their ideologies are anti-empiricist / anti-truth and benefit from being so.

Good news is they can't keep lying their way out of things forever while tanking the government. The people will figure it out eventually

Incompetence? Never.

Conspiracy? Always.

The brainworms run deep in conservative media, folks.

Sad that all conservatives are going to 1. act like this never happened in a month and 2. continue 2016-posting about Clinton's emails.
