should probably make yall aware: i have spent the past couple months constructing a new #Sonic realm, inspired by the game Sonic Rush. despite it not being canon, i am still spending time working on this and some people seem to like it
this is Current the Dolphin, guardian of Aquaria. i set her character to be another elemental parallel to Sonic much like Blaze the Cat, whereas his speed is wind-based and Blaze's fire-based, hers, obviously, is water-based. in contrast to the many spots of land on Mobius, the world in her realm is covered in a planet-wide ocean with minimal land spots to explore her dimension's sacred gems are known as the Tidal Emeralds, 7 multicolored gemstones that can bring thoughts to reality, with the added water powers factor. like Super Sonic, Current can use all 7 and achieve her powered up form, Turbulent Current. this makes her stronger, faster and more capable of manipulating water, the last one she can do just fine on her own but is limited without the Emeralds, of which are teardrop shaped can't have a Sonic character without an Eggman, and this universe's goes by Eggman Epsilon. a mostly brilliant mind set on conquering the seas, however he is lacking in the victory factor as the ocean is the one thing he cannot crack in terms of his Badniks. only his sea-faring bots are capable of doing such, which has lead to multiple times of struggle for him. Current has an indirect sympathy for him, knowing he struggles in getting more robots under the ocean, and his awareness of her compassionate feeling has resulted in him having high respect for her, even though he rarely strikes out for conquest her emotional range is another parallel to the Blue Blur, making her a significant Sonic variant being who she is. where he's cocky and outgoing, she is calm and genuine. she isn't one to showboat her "popularity" which she never thinks of, having no parasocial link to her society. she treats her role of hero as it should be, always making the right choices even if they are dire, which is a praise she gets from so many of her people but doesn't need it
