What a disgusting, soulless specimen this fucking Scalise guy is. He should have done the world a favor by bleeding to death when he had the opportunity.

Lots of comments here from people who apparently didn't read the article. The Beckhams are what prompted this, but most of the content consist of useful insights about estrangement in general. It's a good starting point for folks who want to know more about the subject.
January 21, 2026 at 4:15 PM
People in healthy relationships by definition do not consider estrangement. Individuals who are introspective enough to recognize problems and become frustrated by lack of improvement on those problems are typically the ones who decide to cut things off.

Did you read the whole article? Most of it was neutral/factual information quoted from psychotherapists. It also ended with this take which you seen to agree with:
"There’s three sides to that story, but there’s conflict and a lot of resentment there."

Remember scene from 'Nixon' where he's reading the transcripts and angrily scribbling with a black marker. One of his staff finally says "sir, don't you see that all these deletion marks in the transcript make it look as though you do *nothing but* swear?"

It's like that but so much worse.

He was denied asylum but was granted "withholding of removal" status to shield him from deportation to El Salvador.

Deporting him in spite of that status, without opportunity to challenge the action in court, is in fact a violation of his 5th amendment rights.

5th Amendment: "No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law."

Perhaps you'd like to explain exactly which part of that sentence exempts persons who are accused of gang membership.

It's always funny when Boomers talk down to others about participation trophies. Who do you imagine invented participation trophies? Millennial children, or the Boomers who raised and taught those children.

Damn right. That's why one of my signs for the Hands Off march said this.

Thank you for doing this! Every bit helps.

Hope you were able to find a satisfactory replacement. As someone who lives in a rural area, I understand 1st hand that many folks don't have a good alternative to Starlink.

Go easy on Model 3 and Y drivers. Those were very popular vehicles before Mush showed his true colors, and not everyone can afford to eat the loss on selling it now.

Cybertruck, S, and X drivers... hell yeah, let em have it!

💯, and I would just add that Lutris is a great tool and collection of crowdsourced install scripts. Lots of old Windows games, even ones you can't buy anymore on Steam or GoG, can be installed from the original discs and run perfectly Linux.

I personally did a dual boot of Windows 10 and Xubuntu, and migrated my games and other programs gradually. These days I never boot into Windows, but it's still there if I ever have sudden need of it.
