A clip I recorded of a radio playing VOA Burmese at 6:30 a.m. in #Maungdaw, #Rakhine State, #Myanmar, while reporting the #Rohingya crisis in January 2020. They’re extremely useful to those who were affected by the internet shutdown and who are unable to access media in war zones around the world.

There are reports of young people in #Myanmar who have disappeared, indicating that they could have been either forcibly conscripted into the junta's military or enforced into working at scam centres along the #Myanmar-Thailand border.

#MYANMAR: Fortify Rights's new investigation reveals that, on Aug 5 and 6, the Arakan Army (AA) launched drone and shelling attacks along the Myanmar-Bangladesh border that killed over one hundred Rohingya women, children & men as they sought to flee to Bangladesh.
