'The Kouhu Calamity', resulting from a tragic combination of bad intelligence of the MSS, strategic indifference of the Politburo, and terrible aim on behalf of the PLARF's IRBM force, will drastically change the shape of Chinese history for decades to come #orbatboys

The text: 'The Kouhu Calamity' - 29/10/2045 1316 Hours (Local Time) At 1316 hours 2 100-kiloton thermonuclear warheads, launched by PLARF IRBMs, detonate as ground-bursts among the 3 PLA Brigades Almost 2,000 PLA personnel are killed instantly by the blasts, and virtually everyone else left is seriously injured The entire force is rendered combat ineffective immediately 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines was conducting a probing attack against the PLA's defensive line when the nukes hit, and as such much of the unit was in the blast radius Casualties (from the nukes): PLA: ~10,296 (almost the entire remaining force) US/NATO: ~2,142 (including 80% of 3/7 Marines) Civilian: ~1,500 After the nukes landed, both forces were rendered combat ineffective, and a de facto ceasefire would occur until the remnants of the PLA garrison would formally surrender on the 31st of October, 2045 After the surrender of a small number of PLASOF holdouts elsewhere on the island, Taiwan will be declared formally liberated on the 3rd of November, 2045

After a month of vigorous fighting, Taiwan is almost completely cleared, and PLA forces have been reduced to 3 battered brigades cornered on the coast near Kouhu.

I've had the idea to have a main character trait of my love interest be that she wears meme/joke t-shirts

I've already written this in:
She felt her mind calm slightly as she saw that Fiona's recently unzipped hoodie had parted to reveal the black t-shirt she was wearing underneath. It had muted white lettering that simply read: 'I support gay rights and gay wrongs'.

Something I did for worldbuilding my 2090s-set action sci-fi book series ('Sleepwalkers') a excel worksheet with 3 tables showing the standard small arms ammunition calibres of the USA, UK, Germany, France, China, and Russia in 2025 (current day), 2038 (the year World War 3 starts), and 2067 (the year that aliens attack) Russia only appears in 2025, and between 2038 and 2067 Brazil is added, while the entries for UK, Germany and France are replaced by a single 'EU' category Ammunition in the 'Cased-Telescoped' layout is coloured Blue, while 'Caseless' is coloured Purple
