On the 6 of August we sent a staff open letter to our VC asking the university divest from investment in Israeli military.
Today he finally answered (after we allied with students) and suggested we try a mindfulness seminar.

Having rewatched Carrie yesterday I continue to be of the (arguably mainstream) belief that the real one only horror is the opening set piece.

Which also means I may go on a Le Guin binge though looking for similar, politically interesting and well written sci-fi, pals. Any recs welcome!
The good thing about having been stuck on a writing retreat without WiFi for 2 weeks is that I started bed time fiction reading again. And the good thing about that is that I chose to start this reading with The Dispossessed - as great as I (hazily) remembered from circa 20 years ago.
