After a rare snowfall on the Guadalupe River (latitude 29.86N, longitude 98.18W), here are several tree species in the snow. Sabal minor aka Dwarf palmetto; Taxodium distichum aka Bald cypress; and Ilex decidua aka Possumhaw holly. #trees 🌳

You may spend lots of time removing Galium aparine from your landscaping. (Aka cleavers - the sticky plant that puts burs in your pets fur). Galium tea is a good source of vitamin C. In the same family as coffee, the leaves and seeds can be roasted to produce small amounts of caffeine.#GardeningFeed

Escarpment black cherry (Prunus serotina). Turning gold in autumn. Few of these trees remain in the hill country. Hwy 306 and FM 3424. This site is soon to be developed.
