This kills not only tourism but business travel. No company can compel their employees in Europe to hand over this personal information. This in turn affects investment. Why build a facility in the US when your own people cannot travel there.

A Canadian soldier was approached by a native Kanawake during the standoff at Oka in Quebec. Both were highly armed. Tensions were high the native Kanawake threatened the soldier who remained stone faced never bit. They both walked away. That is how you handle matters no escalation
