Maybe the ‘asshole-dom’ of many of the GOP hasn’t changed but the party has REALLY changed. It used to be those well-off were GOP; working class, Dems. Now well-off educated are Dems/left and working class, GOP. I feel your pain though. My Republican father was like yours.

Totally get the frustration… politicians should be accountable. But this petition raises some red flags. Who decides what’s “false”? Could be used to silence legit opposition or chill free speech. Feels like it opens the door to selective enforcement or censorship, depending on who’s in power.

That’s a dangerous petition. Don’t sign it! I’m all for holding MPs accountable for what they say but this ain’t the solution.
