You request that particular order be put in writing. That will, for the most part, kill it. If it doesn’t, then request where the order originated from. Keep going up the Chain of Command. In many cases, when orders are verbal then someone didn’t hear correctly or heard only part of it.

Remember UCMJ 90 & 91 as well.
