My first art show!! Being in a room of hundreds of wonderfully-creative hand-sized artworks was humbling, and it was gratifying to see my work standing up tall among(st?) them.

Long Pose session today inspired two different approaches to the same model. One of which took a wonderful suggestion from Zoe to add the magenta stripe. Thanks Zoe!

Today’s open studio fun was in drifting even further from realistic figure painting. I do spend about ten minute working from the model, but increasingly I’m letting every brush stroke help me continue the long journey through perfectionism into pure inspiration #art
