There are obviously other good reasons, but I do think that for those who call themselves Christians, Christ's example offers a very explicit mandate to reject racism, supremacist doctrines, and apartheid. "There is no Jew or Gentile, no slave or free, no man or woman."

The Jesus of the gospels is a universalist who despises hierarchy, exalts the lowly and suffering, and rejects ethnic supremacy. He preaches to Gentiles, has his followers dine in the homes of uncircumcized men, and declares, "My father's house is a place of prayer for all nations."
