I haven't even played Expedition 33 for that long and I think it is a strong contender for GOTY. Amazing visuals, fantastic soundtrack, incredible voice acting work...

I hope that more games adopt similar philosophies to battle passes/unlockables and such when it comes to live service games.
Not every game should ultimately feel like a chore. I hope games get back to a "plug and play" mentality where you can go at your own pace.

Amazon controlling James Bond is concerning. They have helped produce some great shows and have taken risks, but James Bond was already a proven formula.

I'm not necessarily taking the side of Sony here, but I am not quite understanding the uproar over Playstation Plus copies of Days Gone not being eligible for the remastered upgrade.

I am so beyond excited for Lost Records: Bloom and Rage. Don't Nod doesn't seem to get a lot of credit for the narratives that they present. Not every game is a true hit, but they are all genuinely fantastic stories. I can't wait to dive into this world.

The Super Bowl was not the game I expected, but it was such a thrill. I'm not going to trash on how the Chiefs played. I saw a defending team look worse and worse as weeks went by. I'm happy that the Eagles not only won, but proved doubters wrong, even if for only one night.

The live service God of War game getting cancelled is great news, because I think that game would have ultimately failed. God of War, TLOU, and so many other PS properties are meant to be consumed as single player experiences.

This is expected but great news nonetheless. Nintendo looks like they are not gonna miss with this next generation of the switch. I'm excited for it!
Nintendo Switch 2 will be backward compatible with the original system with both physical and digital games with an asterisk. With the updated form factor and size, this could mean titles like Ring Fit Adventure which need specialized accessories wouldn't work.

The Squid Game x Call of Duty LTM is so weird, yet so engaging. It completely misses the point of the show but it's great advertising. The competitor in me loves it but this crossover is not necessary.

Eventually this humor runs it's course. I understand it being there, especially with a franchise known for it, but it helps to not ALWAYS lean into it so heavily.
