It's been four years today since we put my horse, Beau, down. And it still hurts to think about.
Now we're reaching the point where he would have died of old age, he was 26, paint horses usually make it to their 30s. But I still mourn the years we didn't get.

When I went to Germany in 2015 I took photos of this cereal box to show you, but I don't remember if I ever did. So now I am, haha.

The lines in the agriculture building were out of control this year! Never seen that many people inside. Because of that, I didn't get my traditional selfie in front of the big pumpkins. However, my friend Ezra had a much better idea...

This year's patio garden. Nothing too special, three kinds of tomatoes (lemon boy, red zebra, and pear) a sweet pepper (my hot pepper was stolen) green beans, some flowers and one pot of lavender. I wish I could do zucchini, but it trails too much to be feasible on a patio.

Ok, I'm really enjoying how the future axolotl tank is coming along. I put in the sponge filter today, so there's two forms of filtration now. The plants are starting to establish. In a couple of months it'll be ready for the salamander!

I have so many little dinosaurs around my apartment. The longer you look the more you spot. My faves being the aquarium raptors and Rex, that old Trex I got from Bob as a kid. She protects my PS2 in the bedroom!

I wish I had the kind of income to justify buying fancy dinosaur figures. So I'll settle instead for my collection of Jurassic Park velociraptors.
Turns out being a dinosaur kid growing up doesn't go away and you just also become a dinosaur adult.

I've never played the original Resident Evil 2 or 3, so I'm super excited to get to them!!
I grabbed the version with the demo disc for Dino Crisis because I think demo discs are such a fun relic of the past.
Now I'm only missing OG Re1 and Code Veronica.

I put many hours into Sacred Stones on car rides. From a time before I had access to walkthroughs online, I remember trying every way to recruit this one lady to my side because she seemed so genuine and good. But she can't be swayed to your side. Stuck with me. In war, sometimes good people die.

Next up is Baten Kaitos. This is a unique RPG that features turn based combat but also uses a card battle system, where you chain together cards for attacks and magic. It stood out to me in middle school, and also... everyone has wings so like... obviously it gets bonus points for that.

After two full winters my cat has finally gotten over his mistrust and hatred for the space heater and has deemed it, "Pretty cool actually." He will now sit and lay in front of it.

Update: it's been a couple days since I replanted, already looking waaaay better. It took like six water changes to get most of the debris off the bottom. Still a lot of work to do, but it doesn't suck to look at anymore so that's good.

This is what it used to look like, when it looked the prettiest. It housed two snails and a single betta.
This it what it looks like now, after a year of pretty much neglect besides water refills.
When the betta died I moved the snails to another tank and just let this one go.
