From the start of the submission period until the end, the Canis Literary & Art Staff will be accepting submissions for the 2025 issue. We will be processing our submissions through email, and you can find more information on our submission page (canid.press/submissions/)

Canid seeks work that challenges us to see the crossroads where the human and dog experiences meet in new and honest ways through both established and emerging voices. The only submission criteria is that the piece either is about or includes dogs.

Canid is an annual print journal that publishes short stories, essays, art, and photography devoted to women and their dogs. Our first submission period opens October 15, 2025, see our website for details. We accept a variety of previously unpublished work of different genres. No AI.
