I’m also of the opinion that if those same players aren’t scoring on the pp, maybe they shouldn’t play 80% of the pp time.

I think there is a stagnation that has not been addressed. Lack of mobility and movement will not get you PP goals. Stop overthinking, move your feet and shoot the puck.

The ONLY thing I could think of is that compared to most of the East, we are not exactly a quick drive except to Washington. Most are 8 or more hours away. Granted it was interesting to hear that considering how remote some of the NHL Canadian cities are.

The thing with the mock trades is they all think value = value without thinking why the other team may want to move a player (like Dallas, they need cap $).
