I’m really not picky, but I love anything that horror-esc, mystery, post-apocalyptic, or even fantasy. Adore queer rep too, for some reason I just can’t get into straight books easily 😭😭

I always see you posting about the books you buy and I desperately need some recommendations on your favs. I finally got through all mine and I’m so lost 🙏🙏

(12/12) The view was muddled and blurry, making it hard to see who was leaning over him, but he could see the familiar silhouette of a helmeted head.

I have a lot more with these guys, but I’m still debating sharing most of it 🙂‍↕️

(11/12) The little game of guess who was cut short when a muffled voice called out. His ears felt like they were clogged, and it kept the sound from traveling to him. Again, the word repeated. Each time it would get louder and a bit clearer, all until a figure popped into view over him.

(10/12) Instead, he just focused on what the sound might've been. With how careful each step seemed to be, he wanted to think it was an animal of some kind, but as it got closer, he quickly crossed that off the list. The steps were too spaced to be anything quadruped.

(9/12) The sound of soft crunches coming closer broke him from his thoughts of how cold he was, the noise getting louder as it neared. Maybe under normal circumstances, he would’ve at least turned his head to see what was approaching, but he just couldn’t get his mind or body to focus on the task.

(8/12) The weight of his hand was altered, and he could feel rough fabric encasing each digit. Gloves. That must be why he could even feel his hands with how frozen his face was right now.
February 19, 2025 at 6:29 PM
(7/12) His head was still scattered around, perhaps still up in that aimless sky, when the cold came back to remind him of the desolate land he was lying on. Without moving his head or neck, he flexed his fingers at his side and tried to feel around him.
February 19, 2025 at 6:29 PM
(6/12) He could feel the formed crystals clinging to his skin when they pulled away, only for his eyes to be assaulted by the blinding sight of his surroundings. It was all white. The sky he was looking up at was blanched with no alternative hues to give it life.
February 19, 2025 at 6:29 PM
(5/12) It took a few seconds to get his eyes to open themselves once he was aware they were closed in the first place, having been weighed by exhaustion and glued shut by the ice forming on his eyelashes.
February 19, 2025 at 6:29 PM
(4/12) The high-pitched whine was immediately followed by a splitting headache, working together to gruesomely drag his consciousness back into his still form despite his internal protests to let him rest.
February 19, 2025 at 6:29 PM
(3/12) He would’ve been content to stay like this, really, if it weren’t for the intrusive ringing that was slowly ramping up with each passing second.
