While the court granted a temporary injunction against part of Ontario’s restrictions, allowing one site funded through donations to stay open, most others will still be forced to shut down as early as April 1st due to lack of provincial funding and restrictions on municipal support.

Supervised consumption sites in Ontario still face closure—despite a court ruling recognizing the risk of irreparable harm.

Last week, the Ontario Superior Court acknowledged these closures mean greater risk of overdoses, deaths, & disease transmission.
