Added different sounds for if the ball collides hard or soft. Also randomized the pitch a little to make the sound more dynamic. #indiedev #gamedev

I had to visualise losing in a pool game I'm working on, whilst remaining distinct from the imagery of the main game. In the end I came up with a Billiards room lamp blinking out, with the last blink sound pitched downwards. Bit abstract but hopefully it gets the message across!😅 #gamedev #indiegame

Screenshot of the first nine tables of Trickshot. Will release more over time when I'm done adding more mechanics to the game. Theme is pool meets pinball so there's a lot to work with! #indiegame #gamedev

Another day, another Trickshot level complete! I tried to introduce the enemies to the player in an intuitive way by placing them in between the player and their objective. This forces them to interact with the enemies and hopefully figure out the mechanics through experience. #gamedev #indiegame

You don't want to know how many tries it took to get this shot for the trailer 😆 #indiedev #gamedev

I've been writing some Unity tutorials for my website based around recreating mechanics from popular games. Do you guys have any games in particular you'd like me to cover? #unity3d #gamedev

Considering options for supporting mods in an upcoming Unity project. Anyone out there with experience of such things? Would appreciate any sage wisdom you could impart! #indiedev

Been thinking about how to fix the 'mono stat' problem in RPGs i.e why level anything other than int as a mage, str as a warrior etc?

Are there any games you guys know of which solved this issue well? #gamedesign

Been doing a lot of web dev lately, hoping to find time to work on Trickshot soon.

On the bright side, I'll have a Unity tutorial site launching soon specialising in replicating popular video game mechanics! First one will focus on the blink ability from Dishonored so look forward to that!

Today I aim to answer the question, what happens when you cross pool with pinball?🤔

Found these pics while clearing out my SSDs. They're all that's left from a side project I was working on before my hard drive failed 😭. A game where you line up a shot and try to hit every enemy at once. A bit like Kirby's Dream Course. Anyone else have projects they lost close to completion?

Don't get too hung up fixing bugs in development. Better to have a finished game with a few bugs than a half finished game with no bugs!
