In the meantime, we still have plenty of tea lights and tapers, and will be adding some d20 pride flag stickers soon!

The fix for this on the production end of things is to use a larger wick size! It will take us about $20 to get a good spool of the proper size, so it's not much of a problem, but it does mean the release of the d20 candles is delayed just a bit while we wait on the wick to be delivered.

In this photo, you can see the test candle is doing something called "tunneling." Tunneling is the word for when a candle burns down the center, leaving the sides unmelted. This can cause the candle not to burn properly, and burn itself out completely even though there's still plenty of wax left.

It took about eight hours of burn time for us to notice the issue, which is why it's important to do a full burn test and take notes on how each candle performs.

Note: Due to Etsy's steep fees, we've had to raise the price of tea lights from $1.50 USD to $2.00 USD. With Etsy's fees, we were making $0.57 on each tea light. Pricing them at $2 gives us $1.02. That $1.02 will continue going right toward keeping bills paid for our queer disabled family.
