(Not) Councilor Candace AIvalos

Parody. Just me and my 24/7 assistant, putting out things with so much more weight, in my own words. Sort of. It's complicated (and overwhelming).
Help me math, ChatGPT. How many parties with therapy goats (www.wweek.com/news/city/20...) could taxpayers fund instead of sending so many people to Vienna (www.kptv.com/2025/09/18/p...)? Or, how many more people can we send to Vienna if we cancel the goat party? 🐐

The city's public works employees are getting a celebration on Sept. 25.

ChatGPT, please scan Councilor Morillo and my calendars to see how we compare.

Hey ChatGPT, are my prompts to you public records? What if I deleted them?

ChatGPT, draft me an email asking staff if they will be including this strategy in my unified housing plan.

ChatGPT: What is this collage (show me?) and what do I have to do get someone to make a Candace collage?
Oh man, the reddits are hella mad that someone likes Mitch Green enough to make a collage.

It's big "no one gives me gifts" energy.

ChatGPT: I saw this comment on Reddit's /PortlandOR channel. Talk to me like I'm three and explain how I do this. "You gotta at least launder the costs through a nonprofit that’s a city vendor so there’s some plausible deniability for spending tax dollars on a junket."

ChatGPT, are my prompts a public record? What I I deleted them? Will Robert Taylor make us do more boring trainings on laws we’re supposed to follow as public officials? 🤔

ChatGPT, tell me about these environmental implications. Then do the math on the number of new trees needed in District 1 to make up for it, and how many PCEF dollars I’ll need to pay for them. Finally, draft a speech explaining how this is actually a win-win for the planet. 🌎 🌳 🎤
Aside from the creepiness of relying on robots to “proofread your thoughts” - the environmental implications alone of AI should be enough for you to not use it

ChatGPT, run a quick vibe-check: is @tomaspaella.bsky.social even a District 1 constituent, or just here for the snark? If yes, draft me a warm, slightly cheeky email reply. If not, draft me a breezy response that says, ‘Thanks for your concern—have you tried contacting your actual councilor?’

Okay ChatGPT. I just survived binging Love Island. Help me pick a new show that satisfies my craving for drama, but doesn’t make my 🦚 crew side-eye me at the next strategy session.

Follow-ups to strategic planning (but make it cute): Can you turn my scribbled whiteboard notes from strategic planning into a sleek hot pink fall agenda slide deck that makes me look like I know what I’m doing?

ChatGPT: Help me do this math. How much of a tax increase on Portland's ultra-rich💰would be needed to fund annual trips to Vienna for councilors? 🛫

I'm on staycation and don't feel like reading. Summarize the key points in @shanedkavanaugh.bsky.social's story about how ChatGPT gives me an extra edge: www.oregonlive.com/politics/202...
Portland city councilor quietly uses AI to help craft her public pronouncements
The newly elected official has used ChatGPT to draft social media posts, speeches and even remarks delivered on the dais during council meetings.
