I appreciate gardening, nature, art, the ability to cook delicious food. I dabble and have mild successes on occasion.
My daughter Cienna (l) and our exchange student Joana (r) passed away in an accident 9 years ago tonight (June 10, 1:30am). We retreat as a family today and tomorrow each year. Tonight this sunset at the end of our walk brings peace, love, hope. I miss the girls everyday.

Mark Carney has led the Liberals to a minority-government victory.
At 4:15 a.m., the Liberals were elected in 168 ridings and the Conservatives in 144. The Bloc Québécois had 23 seats, the New Democrats were at seven and the Greens at one.

An unequivocal, powerful message to N.S. Premier Tim Houston from the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi’kmaw Chiefs, who inform him they remain opposed to fracking and “will not see it happen on our unceded and traditional territory.” Houston, you have a big problem with your plans to frack this province.

I am not a card carrying Liberal and do not vote in party elections, but was overjoyed listening to Marc Carney speak after being elected the new Liberal leader of Canada on CBC Gem last night. He had my vote for Prime Minister even before announcing his intent to run.
