Northern leaders adopted slogan - not the substance.

“Truth” echoed through their speeches like an empty mantra. But was missing from their announcements.

4️⃣Instead:

🔴Recycled promises
🔴Doubtful “solutions”
🔴Financial proposals that deepen debt of Global South
🔴Civil society - women, trade unions, youth, ENGOs - invited to observe, not speak
🔴Locked out of roundtables climate, energy, NDCs & finance where truth needed most

3️⃣Nine G20 countries didn’t submit #NDCs at all = half of global emissions.

No major economy has timeline to phase out fossil fuels. Many still expanding them.

This could have been the moment to set course for a real #JustTransition - with finance and accountability to match.

2️⃣You can’t talk about truth while silencing the people who live it.

If leaders are afraid to hear from workers and communities, then whose truth is this?

Leaders arrived in Brazil with empty hands - the #NDCs submitted in time for #COP30 cover barely 30% of global emissions.

None of the world’s richest countries have credible plans to phase out fossil fuels.

None commit to fair, grant-based public climate finance.
