funny way to spell Joe Veleno

at least it wasn't given up by a certain goalie trying to find his game on the first shot
January 28, 2026 at 12:36 AM
Dobes allows his share of goals, but he doesn't let in those goals that lose the game from 30+ feet out. Eventually those kind of goals will get the rest of the team :(

Best for the coaches to wake up and smell the burnt rubber, of all those pucks going past Monty...

All good, it makes room for Newhook when he eventually returns. But it hurts showcasing Dach to package him with one of the younger D in a trade.

Gonna go out on limb here, once this team gets some goaltending that equals the skaters - watch out!!!
January 25, 2026 at 1:50 AM
Starting a year ago it now gets my full attention while hoping whomever is in net can stop letting in 90 footers while the offense gets to work
January 23, 2026 at 1:37 AM
Starting nearly 40 years ago if I put on the tv and they losing 3 zip it would either go off or stay on in the background as the days of Lafleur and Shutt et all were long gone.

#boycottuscars and #firejohnstonnow before he kills the CFL by trying to make it some kind of nfllight

And Goal Caufield rescues the two points the refs tried to hand the wild
January 21, 2026 at 2:42 AM
Imagine how bad European and Russian refs must be if NHL refs are the best in the world, it's gonna be an ugly olympics...

I would take Gallagher over any of the more "productive" players it is suggested he be traded for, especially that one from the Rangers the know it all's keep suggesting. Gallagher is more likely to block a shot or throw a hit when the scoring isn't working for him.

Agreed! None of the current guys can carry Price's jock, or Halak's or Theodore's or even Huet's most nights... Which is why Fowler needs more time to figure it out.
January 18, 2026 at 11:47 AM
Fortunately the sens goalie was the worse one wearing pads tonight, allowing our own Saturday Night Special to pull the trigger in OT

evans in :)
blais out :(
veleno in :( :( :(
January 18, 2026 at 12:43 AM
the only surprise here is that westjet didn't try to charge even more for a seat on the planes with "normal" legroom before backtracking on this...

veleno is the only one who has earned a seat upstairs, he doesn't get embarrassed by the opposition, but he also doesn't do anything which might embarrass the other team
January 16, 2026 at 8:37 PM
yes, Fowler needs more experience before playing behind a defense - including the fowards here, that is all over the place from game to game
January 16, 2026 at 8:34 PM
sadly enough, still better than rogers sportsNOT
January 14, 2026 at 1:07 AM
as of this morning, Quinn was outscoring the trio by 5 points, and I think one of them was a healthy scratch last night

The injured returnees will be like getting a bunch of players for free. Nothing wrong with kapanen as 2c. There's only one player worth investigating, but I don't think anyone sees pit trading their oldest kid to join all the young guns assembled mtl anytime soon.
January 9, 2026 at 3:52 AM
Last night reminded me that I keep forgetting to take back this comment about Texier, he has shown some pretty good value to the offense, and when he's on the ice there is hope something will actually happen

veleno on the other hand...

I vote Ducks, it's beginning to look like the draft pick in return would be higher than if he went to the Sharks. Plus the tv guys would have more fun with Dach/Ducks.
