Engstom is an asset and Habs 1sr rounder will be late 20’s. Hage should be ready in a couple of years so they just need a guy to fill the 2C spot until then. ROR fits that role perfectly. He may not be fast but he would bring same qualities to this team as Monahan + a cup ring.

Totally agree with you on Guhle, along with Dach, can’t be counted on as the core of the group. Great players WHEN they are healthy which is not often enough

From another perspective, Matheson is a UFA in July and he’s going to want a big raise. I think Engstrom could replace him in the lineup but not as first pairing. I would move Hutson with Dobson and play him with Struble
