I would totally try to disassemble it myself to remove the battery, but that requires access to a screw... that is currently under the non-removable battery.

I hate it here. Gonna use enneloop batteries from now on.

Nevermind, warranty on controllers is only 3 months. My only option now is to return it for some credit at Best Buy.

Thankfully I'm within warranty but cripes we need right to repair laws so bad. I hope they just give me back the same controller but I get the feeling the unit will just become e-waste.
