Been a while since i last posted but ive decided to really push to finish my #40k #astramilitarum army before continuing my other projects.

So i started with my cyclops. Honestly my favorite unit in the list hahahaha. I have a full set of other vehicles to do next.

Did some test prints and found the platform was too high. Decided to lower it and thin out the supports of the buildings. Print is ongoing for the new design. #nscale #trains #3dprint

My next #3dprinted #project is a platform for my passenger #trains. I'm planning to print it in sections to fit into my printer. First time for that so let's just see how it goes.

Got the last of my #montreal exo cars in from atlas. Also got the replacement track to finish my yard. All wired and now on to scenery. The 3d printed yard office and a planed overplace to be the center points. #nscale #modeltrains

Just came in today the new batch of the atlas ALP-45D. Runs alot better then the first batch but the sounds are near silent. Any have experience with #ESU decoders? I have maxed out the master volume. #modeltraind #nscale

Parts finally came in to start on the yard! Just need one switch.

Also making an appearance is the #Kato #Canadian. This isn't the complete train but it's the part that fits on my #modelrailroad. I found it at a train show and online reseller, already DDC-Sound equipped from the previous owner.

One of the important things I've learned about making a #modelrailroad (and a bit in life) is #planning. My current layout has gone through nine main (22 sub) versions. To add to that, however, you need to be flexible. My "final" plan has seen two industries and the layout of a siding changed.

One of the great parts of #modeltrains is that you can expand your hobby to do much more! I'm trying my hand at designing and printing my own buildings. Here is my attempt at a yard office.

I travel alot for work, and one of my favorite things is stopping in at the local hobby shops in different parts of Canada and the US. It's also interesting to see just how much more popular model trains seem to be in the western then eastern Canada.
