Searching for a saner world. Rider and Leafs fan, so maybe not so sane myself. Centrist-minded.
Might reduce QB injuries too. Finally, have one less person on kicking teams. It gives the returner more room to run, gain ground, and set the offence up for scoring. There you go. All Canadian answer - QB protection, improved scoring, more exciting and open game. 3/3

if they're trying to up the scoring, I have a suggestion. How about 12 on offence and 11 on defence? Think of that. Blitz the QB and you'll have multiple people open downfield. Can the QB get the ball off quick enough? Cover downfield and the QB has more protection and more time to pass. 2/3

Let me add to this. Will the changes put more people in the stands in Toronto? More TV revenue? What's the goal and the metrics? I'm OK with standardizing the end zones and having teams on opposites sides of the field. Those make sense. But..., 1/3

More Canadian players please. More Canadianization, not Americanization.

I disagree. We need to understand where they’re coming from. We can’t keep a blind eye.

The constitution?

Thanks for letting me vent Paul.

Same two guys. Rashovich always supported the pool. He just doesn’t like the cost and does like the carbon option.

Bingo!

Same three guys throwing roadblocks.

I provided extensive information to all candidates during the election process. We have 2,000 aquatic athletes and coaches in the city, 5,000 provincially, who would use this pool. And their parents and friends support us and the pool. We have the support of 5 provincial aquatic organizations.

How many times do we need to come back and make the same freaking argument? We did our research. We provided our argument. Nothing’s changed on our end. Supporters were at the EC meeting last week. If you don’t understand how projects go over budget or schedule then do your research.

I don’t know Councillor Rashovich to support sustainability. He’s also opposes to electric buses.

How about we put another roof over the geothermal plant?

Definition of insanity!

As are greenhouse gases.

Aquatics have been over capacity for over 15 years. That’s why IAF is important.

She’s asking good questions.

And will they put their jobs on the line for it? There are three + more years of uncertainty before the final bill comes due.

Class D should have enough contingency to cover risk. I understand we went through inflation hell lately but still….
July 30, 2025 at 10:16 PM
That’s quite a variance from a class D to a class B estimate. Comparing that to other projects in Saskatchewan and Canada can validate how well the estimating process was.

Downsizing the number of outdoor pools is in the RMP. First time they tried to they ended up rebuilding Maple Leaf Pool. That money could have bought a 50m pool instead of 25m at Wascana, about a kilometer away. It’s hard to take something away from people, as we’re seeing and hearing today.
July 30, 2025 at 10:07 PM
9 of the 11 council members were supportive of the IAF when elected last year and last week. I don’t expect that to change today.
July 30, 2025 at 9:59 PM
I’ve spoken at council meetings a few times on this topic. Other than the pickleball issue today and last week’s not so great idea to put a roof over Wascana Pool, people are just regurgitating arguments. I’m sitting this meeting out.

We hardly have any fires in Regina. Can we lose a few fire stations and fire fighters? :).
