Adding Jellybean Junction! Though it may have been Nashville specific.

Day 7 of shark jokes... it hasn't been 7 days, but it feels like it, so here's the last one for now.

"It never was the price of eggs." Stitched into quilt in senior category entry at the Northwest Washington Fair. I wasn't expecting a little bit of resistance with my fair, and it made me smile.

Shark jokes, day two...

I have made a decision to post 7 days of shark jokes. Why?!? Because...

@lukelukeluke.bsky.social saw this in Totem Bight State Park, Ketchikan, AK. It looks like a mini Sorting Hat.

This was the meal at our local Senior Center last week. I encourage folks to attend these lunches, because you can pay to eat, which helps them continue to provide free hot meals to seniors who can't afford to pay. And you get to hear some awesome stories!

She and her Republicans would just prefer this version.

Hubs planted cherry trees several years ago, and I got our first harvest today. There's more on the trees, but I have to pace myself. I've already eaten 2 cups of what I picked an hour ago. At this rate, I'll be incapacitated within the evening. 🍒🍒🍒

Flowers in my backyard
June 22, 2025 at 7:11 PM
I found these near an old tree stump in my yard. I think they are Marshmallow Shasta Daisies, based on an internet search. Each flower is the size of a dime. I had not seen them here before and they made me smile!

Island of the Lost by Joan Druett is based on non-fiction events about two ships wrecking on opposite sides of the same island at the same time and how each team fared. One group was Robinson Crusoe and the other more Lord of the Flies. I recommend it as a good read! #booksofbluesky #goodread

My neighbor's cat has found a new favorite spot in my bird-feeding tree. (There are 4 or 5 feet separating them.)

Some folks buy lottery tickets, others play the slots, but my gambling addiction is buying whole watermelons every year. This one was a 4/10 - no *cRaCk* when cutting, a bit pale but already overripe on the edges, and only mildly sweet. Maybe next time...

Just returning from a trip abroad where we made sure to have Canadian pins on our bags and jackets, although we are actually Canadian.

First it was Krispy Kreme in Tokyo, and now Tim Horton's in Shanghai! At least I can get a double double on the road!! And apparently a beer. Their shirts say "Coffee & beer is necessary during your daily life with Tim's"

I grew up with Krispy Kreme, but there are no stores near where I live now. But first in Santiago, Chile last year and now in Shinjuku, Japan this year, I can get a fix. A really expensive way to do it.

Sat down to enjoy the view of my bird feeders, and immediately had company. Hard to take pics with one hand, but you can tell Fomo was comfy!

I met the sweetest pupper today. Her name is Birdie, and she's a total snuggler! You deserve to see her, too.
