It's silly but it's fun
SE Water are staggeringly incompetent. Insufficient water bottle distribution. Only two sites, TW ran out v quickly. Infrequent and inadequate updates. Priority customers still waiting for delivery. Shocking service.

If we had wastewater monitoring, a booster programme for all and normalised masking in crowded public spaces, we would be in a much better situation to ride these waves. Why won't the Health Secretary wake up and do his job?

I wondered this too so asked a medic friend. You won't get sicker. You just won't benefit from the full immunity as it takes a while for your immune system to build up the response to the vaccine.

It's crazy that healthcare workers aren't eligible for vaccine on NHS. Especially as NHS expects staff with covid to go into work if they feel OK. What are they thinking?

The mindless push for AI to take over all roles is lamentable. It has real potential if used in tandem with human critical thinking, but the assumption that AI can do everything better and faster than humans is Panglossian to say the least.

It's about supporting personal choice & self determination. Humanists support the right of terminally ill individuals to choose the timing of their own death, giving suffering people autonomy. Whereas outlawing assisted dying can force people to endure an existence that some find intolerable.

Humanists think for themselves. So we don't all believe exactly the same things. There's room for different opinions. The overarching values are kindness, tolerance and rational thinking.
