And we're off! The Cambridge Security Initiative welcomed a record 86 remarkable students to Emmanuel College, Cambridge for our summer International Security & Intelligence (ISI) programme. Our first day was capped with a traditional Formal Hall – candlelit dining Cambridge style!

The ISI-Pro was treated to a triple act of Heather Panton (Labrys), David Kilby OBE (Strider Technologies), and Lady Moira Andrews (Visiting Professor at @warstudieskcl.bsky.social). Heather, David & Moira considered #innovation & regulatory issues in the #intelligence and national #security sector.

The ISI-Pro programme welcomed Dr Thomas Maguire (@unileiden.bsky.social) who presented on intelligence disclosure, and Dr Renad Mansour (@chathamhouse.org) who spoke about the evolving character of transnational conflict.

This morning, ISI-Pro heard from former UK Defence Attaché in Moscow, John Foreman CBE, on Putin’s war and UK-Russia relations. In the afternoon, Dr Dina Rezk and Gala Riani shared insights on analytical assumptions and the value of historical perspective in the Middle East.
