Haven't touched a DVD in at least 10 years. I have vivid memories of rented DVDs (like from a store, as in, what, 20 years ago) and being extremely frustrated because I have a bed time coming and I'm wasting time with ads that I could have skipped if it had been a tape, for movies I would never see.

DVDs have unskipable ads. That is intolerable. I refuse to use something that I fully bought and yet forces me to watch ads. Nope.
