I read CC as more pro-business than socially conservative when she was in the Leg (from my view here in BC). The tea leaves say anyone replacing the PM needs to enter with string language around change, so this could be positioning to take some of the wind from Conservative sails.

I’m not so sure that the NDP would be viewed as very libertarian, at least in a free markets/economic sense. But yes, social policy does track that way.

I’m disappointed you would malign the name of a popular Canadian band to make this point, but I agree with your point. I guess you were just makin’ it work.

I sense avian strains are so quickly caught and ringfenced that there is a bit of nothingburger to these recent stories.
