I think this is a good example of a point I’d like to make about Trump. He is the opposite of an ideologue. His reactions are purely visceral and fleeting. Nothing to see here, really.

After the closed door meeting- this look on Trump’s face, I believe, is genuine. He believes Mamdani admires him and likes him very much. The look on Mamdani’s face is “Hey Vladimir, you think YOU’RE a master manipulator? Hold my beer.”

TRUMP THINKS IT'S CHARM. MAMDANI KNOWS IT'S PSYCHOPATHY.

Trump loves winners. Trump loves good looking people. It's really that simple. Transactional Trump likes to be in proximity to those two things and he thinks Mandani's star power will enhance how people see him. Also, he has real estate holdings in NY that he wants to protect.
