Do you genuinely want candidates to only have to doorknock for fundraising? or rely exclusively on mega-donors who can influence their policy decisions?

i worked so incredibly hard to even get a family-sustaining wage in this industry as a PoC, much less have any type of say how these programs function. I don’t want it to be this way forever, but we are in a stop the bleed situation on fighting back against full on fascism and we need resources.

this is an example of one bad actor within the industry operating in a clearly shameful way. I have and will continue to denounce that behavior, but it is not representative of the Democratic fundraising industry as a whole.

that work is valuable and it meant something and I believe she has had a vastly outsized and under-appreciated role in the improvements that the VA was making in patient care - and people who believe God qualifies the called are about to rip it all to shreds.

i think this is a great idea! I have so many changes I want to make to the industry and I’m working hard to be in a decision-making position so I can be part of doing things differently!

i completely agree that scare tactics are manipulative and personally I work really hard to keep my fundraising writing coming from a more positive place - this is something I want to change about the industry as well!
