Testing drawing hugs Fun fact, for the first one i actually dont know any asl so i had to do research and by research i mean googling up asl phrases im so Stupid Basically the asl for i care about you is for “i” you just point to urself, for “care” you put your hand/fist onto your chin and then for “you” you just point to the person you’re signing to. Interesting stuff I really like this piece actually , as much as I don’t wanna gloat about taking my knowledge of deaf people and putting that into a character (Muffin) but this duo is probably the best I’ve ever written about :)

Some info on Louise: Louise (age 48) is the loving, caring, laid-back but very protective single mother of Robert. Louise used to be a Catholic priestess in the early ‘00s until she had to step down from being a priest to focus on taking care of Robert. Much of her belief in God never faded away, however, she does not pull out scriptures from the Bible in conversation (as her personality traits are meant to be a counterattack against Christian characters in media who are overly religious and overzealous). She’s always there to soothe him when he has meltdowns/is crying/sad in general, and sometimes she strokes Robert’s ears or hums a lullaby to him during hugs. Louise can get a little bit stern when he acts up/misbehaves, but it mostly ends with Louise giving Robert tender-loving care when he needs it.
