What the...?
Mortises for the slats for rocking chair back seemed a little wide. So I measured the width of my inexpensive 3/8 chisel...and it's just shy of 7/16 !
I know about "measure twice, cut once" but I didn't know about "measure the chisel before you buy it"

What the...?

My treadle lathe "works" but not well enough to really turn anything decently. While I'm waiting for the epoxy to cure on the mods/repairs, I'm rough planing the cherry lumber for an upcoming rocking chair.

I think we skipped spring and went almost 90⁰. Took the new paddle out for a Genesee River spin.
