No special insight - but when I moved from Oxford to Cambridge everyone said Cambridge was smaller and it definitely didn’t feel like that.

No special insight - but when I moved from Oxford to Cambridge everyone said Cambridge was smaller and it definitely didn’t feel like that.
I’m definitely not going to get into the ins and outs of the two universities but the trad idea of Oxford a city and Cambridge a town is out of date. I’ve now lived in Cambridge for ten years, and Oxford for 25 until 2015. These days to me Cambridge feels slightly busier and more metropolitan.
