There was plenty of that on twitter too. And a big part of the movement to bsky is people trying to escape the shtposting on twitter, so it figures that would include more people who disapprove of jokes in this context.

That's been standard operating procedure for policing protests for at least a hundred of years.

I did extensive research on the Trump - Epstein connection in 2016 and have continue to pay close attention since. I have never previously seen this image, and as such I strongly doubt this image is real. Do you have a source?

Sometimes that's ok though. I don't mind people using a joke as a launching point for a serious discussion, if it's not combative. Helps if they acknowledge "I know this is a joke, good one, but..."

I told a joke on a public page the other day. It got several thousand likes and then maybe 5 comments from people who didn't get the joke and were angry about it.
That's just an inevitability of joking on the internet, not everyone will get it and those people will comment.

It sure does. I'm being picky here, but that's not the same thing. Like in general, we expect juries to be sympathetic towards victims of crime. Someone is accused of killing a kid, no one says we need a jury who are neutral on 'should the kid be dead,' right?

I mean, I've never been enlightened. Maybe a truly enlightened meditational practitioner can stay up there, I don't know. Humans can do amazing things mentally, I don't want to foreclose that. But for most of us, some downtime is good too :)

And a healthy life of course involves brain activity across that spectrum. Sleep is our lowest frequency state of thought, and naturally we need a balance of that along with times of rapid excited high frequency thought and medium frequency chill play type thought etc.

I agree with all of that except the connection between higher and lower frequencies and the quality of thought. For example, deep relaxation (+ve) and drunken stupor (-ve) are both lower frequency, while attentive problem solving (+ve) and blind panic (-ve) are both higher frequency.

Also to clarify, "apply force" doesn't just mean hitting it. Holding it is applying a force. As is just having it sitting around in earth's gravity, on a stand, on a necklace, in the air. Nothing actually exists without external stimulus at some point.
