My masters thesis is now in press at CEP! We used SEVT to explore whether math motivation profiles in 6th and 10th grade predicted math test scores and STEM career aspirations concurrently and longitudinally in a sample of Black students mostly surviving economic marginalization.

I need to take more detailed notes on design when reading the literature for a review so I don't have to keep going back to the papers.

I tend to be too broad in my notes and categorizations, assuming that the way I'm thinking about things is how I will continue to think about them.

Unnecessarily wordy academic language:
-“in the context of.” Usually “in” does it.
-“While [long clause about X], [long clause about Y].” Usually better to have a sentence of X and then one on Y.
-“the ways in which,” usually “how” can do the trick.
